Annie Lennox Celebrates 40 Years of ‘Lovely Dreams (Are Made of This)’
It’s been a long time since melodic couple Eurythmics burst into the standard with their 1983 hit, “Good night (Are Made of This),” and on Wednesday (Jan. 4), musician Annie Lennox praised the tune’s achievement commemoration.

“It’s inordinately difficult to accept that ‘Wonderful Dreams are Made of This’ was delivered quite a while back! It has kept on venturing to the far corners of the planet and the seven oceans from that point forward, which is a magnificent and marvelous story all to itself!” Lennox composed close by a progression of clasps from “Melodies are like boats… They have their own specific journeys and objections.. Whenever they’ve been sent off, there’s no way other than straight ahead. You simply need to follow the excursion.”

“Good night (Are Made of This)” beat the Board Hot 100 tunes outline dated September 3, 1983, and burned through 26 complete a long time on the graph. It was included on the gathering’s sophomore collection of a similar name, which moved to No. 15 on the Bulletin 200 collections graph and burned through 59 weeks complete on the count.
In 2020, Lennox answered a video by Tim and Fred Williams, a bunch of twin siblings from Gary, Ind., who went over her hit for their “First Time Hearing” series on their well known YouTube channel TwinsthenewTrend. “Wow!!! I saw this interestingly two or three days prior… It’s astonishing according to my viewpoint, watching these two unimaginable youthful folks getting on Pleasant Dreams – kept in ’83,” she tweeted in light of the sweet clasp. “THAT’S where the genuine force of music lies… A scaffold to the spirit and keenness!”
